The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, April 17 reveals Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will take Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) side over her husband’s.
Also coming up, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will find Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Plus, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will set a trap for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). And Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will share a little love in the afternoon.
Y&R spoilers tease Lauren will arrive at her new office, only to find flowers and champagne waiting for her. There’ll be a note from Michael, congratulating him on her new adventure. He’ll walk in and say he just thought he should remind his wife how much he adores her. The couple will share a dance and then christen her new office.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Matt Comes To The Door Of The Hotel Suite
At the GCAC, Jack will meet up with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). He’ll tell her he needed to vent and she’ll understand what he’s going through. Nikki will say he’s got that right. “There’s gotta be some way out of this, for both of us,” Jack will tell her. So they’ll brainstorm ideas.
“I pretend to kidnap my grandchildren and I tell Victor they won’t be returned until he admits he was wrong,” Nikki will quip. Jack will suggest they use a plot from one of his sister’s novels. He’ll say the main protagonist wanted to make their partner so jealous they’d forget about why they were angry.
“Who would Victor and Diane believe we would turn to?” Nikki will ask and they’ll look at each other knowingly. “If Victor were to truly believe you and I were romantically involved,” she’ll say. “All bets would be off.” Nikki will suggest they file it under bad ideas. But she’ll thank him for making her laugh.
Jack will take her hand and Victor will come along. “Well, well, well,” he’ll say to them. Then Diane will come downstairs and tell Victor he was right about Jack. “You were apparently a better judge of my husband’s character than I was.”
Victor will tell Jack to accept defeat and move on. “You will pay for this,” Jack will reply. “If it’s the last thing I do, you will pay.” Then he’ll turn to Diane and ask how she could take Victor’s side over his. “Oh, are you feeling betrayed?” she’ll reply. “That’s exactly how I felt.”
In Vegas, Chelsea will call Sharon. “Nick is missing,” she’ll say. Sharon will ask if Matt is there and Chelsea will say she saw him. He took Adam to see Nick and she hasn’t seen him since, which will worry Sharon. There’ll be a knock on the door. Chelsea will look through the peephole and see Matt standing there and she’ll open the door.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sharon Shows Noah The Text From Nick
“Hello hot stuff,” Matt will say as he struts inside the suite. She’ll ask where Adam and Nick are and Matt will say they’re both really stupid. “Tell me where they are!” she’ll shout. But Matt will say he’s outta there, like a Las Vegas magician.
As for Sharon, she’ll leave a message for Nick, begging him to call her. Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will walk in and Sharon will tell him what’s going on. “I should have been there!” he’ll shout. “I could have stopped this from the beginning!”
Meanwhile, Adam will wake up in the storage room, holding the back of his head. He’ll try to wake his brother. “Please, you can’t be dead!” he’ll say. Nick will open his eyes and ask what Adam’s doing there. Adam will say Matt told him he OD’d and died. “He said you had a very serious addiction problem,” Adam will add. “From the looks of it, he may be right.”
Nick will deny it and describe how he ended up in the storage room. He’ll say Matt promised to keep him high on drugs and he’d go after his family. “Are you hooked on drugs?” Adam will ask. Nick will lie and say Matt gave him drugs. Adam will spot a phone on the wall and call the suite. Chelsea will pick up and he’ll say he and Nick, who’s okay, are down the hallway locked in a storage room.
While Adam’s on the phone, Nick will spot a baggies of fentanyl in a box. He’ll grab a handful while Adam’s distracted and shove it in his pockets. Chelsea will rescue them and they’ll head back to the suite. Nick will say he needs to splash water on his face. But instead he’ll take out a baggie of coke and snort some.
Finally, Matt will use Nick’s phone to text Sharon. “I have Matt. Come to Vegas now if you want to see Matt go down.” Sharon will get the text and read it to Noah. “Finally,” he’ll say to his mother. “What are we waiting for?”
